Summertime's here, and with it lots of bright light and opportunities for painting 'en plein air'. It also marks the start of camp season. Action painting is very freeing. The fact that it emphasizes movement and the creation of the artwork as opposed to a finished product leads to interesting results, because it liberates the artist (or artists, in this case) from having to worry about the ending.
