The CTAE Department of Vidalia High School hosted its officer induction ceremony at VHS, where Jasmine Nichols was announced as the Colonel and leader of the JROTC program, with Kennedy Wardlaw appointed as Command Sergeant Major and second-in-command for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Memorial Health Meadows Hospital recently welcomed SECCA Healthcare students for an informative tour arranged by the Meadows administrative team. During their visit, students had the chance to explore various medical departments, including the Emergency Department, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy, Heart Catheterization Lab, and Labor and Delivery, where they interacted with professionals in these fields. The students' learning experience included participation in a Stop the Bleed course, designed to prepare them for emergency situations, as well as a gurney race around the helipad. The tour also featured an AirEvac helicopter, providing students with a comprehensive view of emergency medical services. Appreciation goes to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital and AirEvac for offering SECCA Healthcare students a glimpse into healthcare careers available in their area. Special thanks are extended to Haley Powell, Heather Walters, Heather Hooks, Rachel Crumpler, Jennifer Sutton, Karrie Page, Sharon Coe, the AirEvac team, and the staff at MHMH for facilitating this valuable experience!

The JROTC cadets participated in guided tours of Georgia Southern University and the National Guard facilities today. In addition to the Hope Scholarship and Zell Miller benefits, the National Guard provides the cadets with a complimentary education. The National Guard also sponsored the cadets' lunch.
