We’re now accepting sign-ups for our next Children's Art Experience class! 🎨

Children's Art Experience on Saturday, July 11th at 10:00 am!

Inspired by the art of our current exhibit, "Full Circle", the art of Stan Irvin, kids will get to have fun sketching and sculpting with clay and wire to make an abstract sculpture of their own design! The wire will give support to both vertical and horizontal sculptures. We'll also be using sculpting tools to give each sculpture a unique texture!

Join us to make some fun art at The Nave Museum!
Registration is always free!

We’re having fun making art with the Brownson Home students away from the summer heat! ☀️

This time the kids learned about a traditional art from Europe that may look familiar. Pysanky eggs are a springtime art craft from Ukraine. While they may look like easter eggs, this craft is very complex, with the use of melted beeswax and specialized tools to draw designs onto a painted egg. 🥚

The kids didn’t have to mess with wax to draw cultural symbols onto their eggs. They painted symbols used on real pysanky eggs that symbolize things like protection and elemental harmony. We’re excited to keep bringing more fun art activities to The Brownson Home throughout the summer!
