Shoutout to the amazing local high school students who joined us for our Leading Ladies: Women in Industry event! From hands-on activities to real conversations with industry professionals, participants got an up-close look at careers that are shaping the future of Texas and beyond. ⚙️✨

As you can see, everyone wanted to test out VC's welding simulator system. 😎 We loved seeing students ask questions, try new things, and discover opportunities they may not have known existed.

to an unforgettable commencement speech from VC graduate Ryan Salinas. 💙🎓

For Ryan, the road to graduation wasn’t always straightforward but his determination never wavered. As a first-generation college student from Port Lavaca, he graduated from Victoria College on May 16 with his associate degree and is now headed to The University of Texas at Austin to pursue mechanical engineering.

“Failure is a part of life, but I would say ‘don’t give up,’ ” said Salinas. “I never thought I would go back to college at 28, but I have the drive to keep going, and VC has given me the support to be able to achieve my goals.”

Stories like Ryan’s remind us that it’s never too late to chase your goals. Congratulations again, Ryan. We can’t wait to see what’s next! 🤘
