Hi… my name is Snow White, but everyone calls me Snowie 🤍🐾

Can I ask you something?

Is it because I have a little limp?

I’ve been watching so many of my friends leave with their toys, blankets, treats, food, and a little folder. It’s kind of funny because they never come back.

My furry foster brothers and sisters tell me they’ve gone to their forever homes.

I’m so happy for them… But I can’t help wondering when it will finally be my turn 💔

Sometimes I wonder if people scroll right past me because they think I’m broken.

But I’m not..

I’m healed, happy, and healthy 🐶

I’m just a little different…

…and maybe that’s exactly what makes me so special 🤍

When I was just a puppy, I lost my mommy and daddy. Before I ever knew what it felt like to have a family, I was dumped and left to survive on my own. For months I wandered the streets searching for food, safety, and someone to love me.

Then one day, I was hit by a vehicle and left lying in a ditch. Had Paws4Christ Animal Rescue not stepped in, I wouldn’t be here today.

My leg needed surgery, and while I recovered, I couldn’t run and play like all the other dogs. I may have gained a few extra pounds during all that bed rest… 😂 but I’m finally getting back into shape!

I still enjoy running , I love to wrestle with my doggie friends, and zooming around the yard like the giant fluffy goofball I am!

My foster family says I have the biggest personality in the whole rescue.

I also have a tiny little stick addiction.

Seriously…

If there’s a stick anywhere within a five-mile radius, I’m convinced it belongs inside the house. Foster Mom keeps blaming everyone else…

I’m just going to let her keep believing that 🤭🌳

And barking? 👉 That’s not really my thing.

The dramatic…

“YOU WERE GONE FOR FIVE WHOLE MINUTES AND I THOUGHT I’D NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN!”

…kind of howl. 🎶🐺

I’m about 2 years old, a beautiful Labrador Retriever mix, fully vetted, dog friendly, incredibly affectionate, and a professional cuddler.

I absolutely LOVE going shopping and picking out my own toys.

Pup cups?

Yes, please! 😋

Car rides?

I’ll pass, not a fan at all!

I’d much rather stay home, run around the yard, and spend time with my people.

I should also be honest… I’m a little protective of my toys and food around other dogs. I just like my things to stay… well… my things 😌

I also need to confess something else pretty IMPORTANT…

I’m pretty smart! Maybe a little too smart…

I’ve learned how to open certain gates, baby gates, and latches.

My paws get to working, and suddenly everyone is asking,

“Snowie… HOW did you get over there?!” 😂

So I’ll need a family with a secure fenced yard that can keep this fluffy escape artist safe.

At Paws4Christ, we only go to homes where we’re indoor family members.

That’s exactly what I want.
I don’t want to live outside.
I want to be where my family is.
Curled up beside them.
On the couch.
Maybe taking up the entire couch…
But who’s measuring anyway? 😆🤍

More than anything…

I dream about having someone to call my family.

Someone who won’t see my little limp…
They’ll see my giant heart 💜

Someone who won’t notice the scar on my hip…
They’ll notice the way my whole body wiggles when they walk through the door.

Someone who won’t feel sorry for me…
They’ll simply love me exactly the way God made me 🫶

Maybe… Just maybe… That’s you. Until that day comes… I’m not giving up. And neither is Paws4Christ. They’re going to keep sharing my story again…

and again…

and again…

until the family God has planned for me finally sees my face.

Because they believe I’m worth waiting for. And deep down… I believe my family is worth waiting for too. 🥹❤️

As much as I’ll miss my foster family and all my furry foster siblings…

I’ve waited over a year. I think it’s finally time for a family of my own. Will you help me find them?

🐴❤️ BOOTS NEEDS A LITTLE HELP FROM HIS VILLAGE ❤️🐴

A little over a year ago, when we purchased property here in Victoria County to expand the rescue, Boots the horse came into Paws4Christ Animal Rescue.

Not only did his momma pass away giving birth to him, but his owner had sadly passed away, and the renters of his home moved out, leaving Boots behind… along with 10+ dogs and puppies 💔

Thankfully, we were able to secure the doggies and puppies as well and begin helping every one of them.

But Boots… Boots was a whole different kind of rescue 🥺🐴

He came to us severely malnourished, battling terrible skin conditions, loaded with parasites, and with no veterinary care. The parasite had taken a terrible toll on his system, and we spent months fighting to get his body, hooves, stomach, and skin healthy again.

Then we had to learn Boots 😂🐴

After living for over 13 years with little to no interaction, handling, or training, Boots had learned to live life completely on his own terms.

Through working with him, we learned Boots is a Left Brain Introvert🧠🐴 He is confident, dominant, clever, and pretty much fearless… but he would absolutely prefer to save his energy 😂

Boots is the kind of horse who thinks before he moves. He is incredibly smart, quickly figures out humans, and if he doesn’t see a good reason to do something… well, you better come back with a better offer 🤣🐴

Because he is so confident and dominant, some of his behaviors could easily be misunderstood or become risky without continued handling, consistency, and daily work. Boots never needed his spirit broken ❤️

He needed us to learn how his mind worked, earn his respect, and give him a reason to work with us instead of against us.

And whewww… this fearless, clever boy has made us earn every bit of progress 😂🐴❤️

Today, we are humbly asking our village for a little help with some of Boots’ much-needed supplies. NEW OR USED items are absolutely appreciated! 🙏🐴

A lot of what we originally started with was used, and some of those items have broken or barely holding on. We truly don’t mind any used items, tools or supplies. If it is usable and can help us care for Boots, we are incredibly grateful.

🐴 BOOTS CURRENTLY NEEDS:

To get us through a tough week 🙏
•2-string alfalfa hay
•Grain/feed

To have supplied needed for his daily/weekly care 🐎•Rubber stall mats for bathing, hoof cleaning, and hoof care
•Hoof care tools and supplies
•Fly and mosquito spray — with all of this heat and rain, the mosquitoes and flies have been terrible, and Boots needs to be sprayed several times throughout the day
•Horse grooming and general care supplies
