There are moments during recruiting that really make the long days worth it all...

Had a kid come in about two weeks ago that had just completed his GED...he was working at McDonalds and had heard that he could make the military a career...he needed to score a 50 on the ASVAB (all GED’s do for Active Duty)...he took the practice test and scored a 42, afterward he told me that he wanted to study because he was confident he could get a 50...we brought him back a week later and he scored a 39 on his next test...to make a long story short, he came in this morning ready to go to MEPS and enlist into the Army Reserves (GED’s only need the minimum for AR) but was hopeful he would score over 50 so that he could join Active Duty...well, I just found out he scored a 54!!! This kid was determined and made his dream come true!!! I’ve never been more proud of a future Soldier than I am now, success is as easy as you make it and even a little determination will take you a very long way!!!
