We are here on this cloudy day, answering questions and helping figure out the quickest way to make claims.
We really want you to know that we are hearing about many questionable practices. If a stranger comes to your door and wants $2500 to haul away debris, just say NO! Unless it is really worth that to you, of course. But don't sign anything. If you pay someone to haul debris away, ask for a receipt!

Keep on goin' everyone; we've got this! Vero Beach Strong! Community Together!

Due to the storm, there are many areas which may need assistance with cleanup efforts or repairs to their homes or properties. Please be careful when hiring a contractor to assist with these efforts. Unfortunately, there are scammers out there who target homeowners after storms and will either overcharge for services, or accept money for services with no intention of performing the work. Please do your due-diligence when hiring contractors by checking all contractors' references, licenses, and insurance. For your own protection, do not accept a verbal contract from anyone, please request a formal written contract listing all contact, contractor's license and insurance information, cost of materials, date to start repairs, estimated time to complete repairs, any/all permits required and all payment details.

Additionally, anyone requiring the assistance with cleanup or repairs on their homes should be contacting their insurance company first to initiate a claim and follow the insurance company guidelines for hiring contractors. Please call us BEFORE talking to (or signing anything with) a public adjuster.

Websites which can be used to check the legitimacy of a contractor are as follows:

To our valued clients, friends and our community:
First of all, we hope you are all safe. If you did receive damage, please don't hesitate to call our office at 772-492-8545.

It has been a stressful few days and we are all anxious to get back to normal as quickly as possible. Here on the Treasure Coast, most of us fared pretty well, especially compared to the heartbreaking images we are seeing, but some of our friends and neighbors did receive damage and we all want to do what we can.

We are sharing this video put out by Jimmy Patronis, CFO of Florida. One of his many jobs is overseeing insurance consumer services. His advice is good. We don't want any of you to be in a situation where unscrupulous people can use this time to take advantage. This short video is a message we believe is important to share.

Time to be Florida Strong and all come together. We are here to help where we can.

I'm trying to write a good joke post about a hurricane.
It is just a draft at the moment

How seriously do you take preparing for hurricane season? Do you buy things, keep a first aid kit, get your trees trimmed, check out your hurricane panels or plywood? What things do you do?
