Fools Run 5K

t year we were able to raise a whole bunch of money for Miss Venice Fastpitch! And this year we are excited to announce that this year the Fools Run will benefit The Venice Middle School Young Marines! It is the goal of the Fools Run to partner with a different foundation/cause every year, because we truly feel that we should share the love and help as many people in our community as possible. This WILL be an IN PERSON event!! The run will be held April 2nd, 2022, at Maxine Barritt Park, with a start time of 8am! This will be a chip timed road race along Harbor Drive, starting in front of Sharkey's, and finishing at the pavilion. Your finishing time will be texted or emailed to you based on what you have set up through RunSignUp, so make sure you put the right info, like yours, not your ex's cousin's info, they don't care how fast you are. Last year those pesky Covid rules would not let us do awards but guess what is ok for this year?!!! You know that those Fools over at Gulf Breeze Apparel are sure to come up with some sort of baller awards, so be ready to run as fast as your little legs will go! And of course, ALL finishers WILL receive a Foolish finisher's medal! Because who wants to run a race and not get a medal?! We're totally going to feed you and give you some drinks as well, well... we're not personally but we've got some incredible sponsors that will be!! Chick-fil-A Pelican Plaza is returning as out title sponsor and feeding us all breakfast, and they will be joined by British Open Pub who will be quenching the thirst of those over 21!!
