t yoga can help these women feel their power and change their lives and their communities. Our goal is to create a grassroots, sustainable yoga community that thrives long after we have gone. We believe that yoga is a transformative practice that will provide these women with a new sense of power and hope in the face of harsh daily realities. We believe yoga is as important as the food and medicine often sent to Sonagachi as supplies. Yoga heals and empower the spirit, and serves as the true medicine for the dis-eases caused by a lack of hope in this Spirit.
