There are moments that remind us just how special this community is, and this is one of them.

A huge thank you to the talented community members who made and donated these beautiful handmade quilts for our firefighters. Each quilt was thoughtfully made to fit the beds in our crew quarters, with enough for every firefighter to have their own unique station quilt.

It truly takes an island, and we're grateful to be part of it.

Now we're just counting down to cooler weather... though these quilts might be almost too beautiful to use. Almost. ❤️

A friendly reminder that consumer fireworks are illegal in unincorporated King County, including Vashon Island.

Fireworks can quickly lead to fires, injuries, and emergency calls. Help protect our community, neighbors, pets, and natural spaces by leaving the fireworks to the professionals.
