Governor Inslee is getting ready to start phase 2 of reopening the economy.
Fitness businesses are included in that phase -but with many restrictions, one of which will exclude us from reopening at this time.
“ High risk clients are not permitted as part of Phase 2 re-opening. High risk clients include people over the age of 65, people with serious underlying medical conditions like chronic lung disease, moderate to severe asthma and people who are immunocompromised.”
So we will wait.
I am considering running the core class outdoors when things get a little warmer. Let me know if that sounds interesting to you
Please keep practicing. Remember that how you live in and use your body is habitual and your problematic holding patterns “feel” normal and correct. Awareness is your friend.
I miss you.

~Balls classes are deep awareness work that gives information and release to chronically tight areas. It is very subtle and relaxing. We work on our backs on the mat.
~Dance classes are similar to the “world step” classes- they are choreographed as we go. Great attention given to how it “feels” to be moving- lots of attention to detail-
~Core class is a gentle run through of exercises and stretches to improve ones ability to move freely and comfortably. Again, much attention given to the details of how it “feels” to move through the exercises.
~Bikes are another opportunity to study what it “feels” like to move. They are more contained than the dance class, so work well to study details of muscular awareness in a safe setting.
The work is fascinating and much awareness can be gained through the time spent in study.
It is with profound sadness that I share with my friends and clients the news about the loss of our dear Bill Mitchell. He was a regular participant for years in the core class. In our small community of muscular explorers, not only do we search out and develop deep strands of connection with our individual bodies, but also the strands of connection between us.
I am missing him so very much.... I am trying to understand how to make the hole in the fabric feel more like lace.
Happy winter holidays to all. I will be holding all of my regular classes except xmas, new years eve, and new years days.
In these shorter, darker, colder winter days, we are invited to look inward. I hope that you are all able to spend some time exploring the open and dynamic movement potential within. xo
