Who is naming these animals - Titicaca Water Frog Long Meme

The Titicaca water frog has been going viral as people discover one of the strangest-looking amphibians on Earth. Despite its unusual appearance, this frog is perfectly adapted to life in the cold, high-altitude waters of Lake Titicaca in the Andes Mountains. Its signature skin folds serve an important purpose. Since the lake contains relatively little oxygen, the frog absorbs oxygen directly through its skin, and the extra folds provide a much larger surface area to make that possible. As a result, it can spend its entire life underwater without needing to regularly surface for air. One of its most fascinating behaviors is performing what look like tiny “frog push-ups.” These movements help circulate water across its skin, improving oxygen absorption and allowing it to thrive in its unique environment. While its appearance may catch people off guard, the Titicaca water frog is actually an incredible example of how evolution can produce some truly remarkable adaptations.
