Congratulations to Valley Stream North’s Paige Fessler and Michael Muoio for bringing home New York State Titles in track and field!
Paige, a three-time state champ, dominated the pentathlon, scoring 3,521 points to win both the NY Federation and Class B State Championships. She won the High Jump, placed 2nd in Long Jump, 3rd in the Hurdles, and beat the field by 32 points, all while coming within 35 points of the Nassau County record!
Michael cleared 14ft 6in in the pole vault to claim the Class B title. With the runner-up also clearing the same height, it came down to a "clean sheet." Michael had zero misses until his final height, giving him the tiebreaker for the win!
