امام باقرؑ نے فرمایا :
اگر ہمیں اپنے شیعوں کی موت کا خوف نہ ہوتا تو ہم انہیں بتاتے کہ کربلا میں کیا کچھ گزرا ،
عزاداری کے طریقے کتنے ہی عظیم کیوں نہ ہو جائیں یہ مت سمجھیں کہ وہ اس مصیبت کے شایانِ شان ہیں اگر ساری دنیا بھی اس مصیبت پر جل کر خاکستر ہو جائے تب بھی اس کی عظمت کا حق ادا نہیں ہو سکتا.
