LATIMER, EACHUS TO HOLD ROUNDTABLE WITH TEACHERS ON STANDARDS

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Oct. 24, 2016 – State Sen. George Latimer and Senate candidate Chris Eachus will meet with Westchester County educators on Wednesday to discuss the recently released draft English Language Arts standards and help evaluate the state’s progress toward adopting new standards.

The roundtable discussion between Latimer and Eachus – a teacher in the Newburgh public schools – will take place on Wednesday, November 2 at 4 p.m. in the Staff Development Room of the White Plains Teachers Association, 500 North Street, White Plains.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for educators to do what they do best – help to educate our leaders and aspiring leaders about what they need to provide the best education possible for every child,” said Cairenn Broderick, president of the White Plains Teachers Association.
