The VSF operates independent of the school district under the direction of a volunteer board of directors. The Foundation works with educators, business leaders, alumni and residents of the community to promote excellence in public education.

Each year, the Valhalla Schools Foundation gives a scholarship to a graduating Valhalla HS senior who plans to study to become a teacher. The VSF Scholarship in Memory of Antonia Piria was established when that beloved teacher passed away, and bequeathed money to our Foundation for this purpose. This year’s scholarship winner is Mariana Lopez-Bedoya, shown here with our President, Allison Linsley. Congratulations, Mariana! We wish you much success!

In case you missed it:
The Valhalla Schools Foundation was so pleased to honor long time teachers Sarah Benfari and Stu Brown. These two stars, even in retirement, continue to substitute teach at our Kensico School. The evening was filled with love and appreciation!
