It takes a village to provide high quality education. We couldn't do it without our many highly qualified and talented instructors, each an expert in their respective field, who teach in WDCE's 50+ professional development programs.

At last Friday's 2026 WDCE Completion Ceremony, we recognized two outstanding instructors for their successes both within and outside of the classroom:

🎉 Congratulations to Laura Arnett for Faculty Excellence in the GED Test Preparation Program. Laura is a former attorney and AI expert whose passion for education has transformed the way GED is taught.

🎉 Congratulations to Linda Hogan for Faculty Excellence in the JobSTAR (www.sunywcc.edu/jobstar) and Project Transition (www.sunywcc.edu/project-transition) programs. Linda is a former corporate HR executive and current career coach for executives and professionals. At SUNY WCC she works primarily with low-income Westchester residents and "displaced homemakers" returning to the workforce after many years to help them build the skills they need to succeed in today's labor market.

We are also thankful to the many SUNY WCC staff who work behind the scenes every day to create and administer programs that provide pathways to a better future for Westchester residents.
