All animals will live out their lives at the sanctuary. We currently have 32 sheep, 200 chickens, 31 goats, 10 alpaca, 2 emu, 18 ducks, 8 cats, 9 dogs, 5 horses, 3 pigs, 9 cattle, 3 turkeys, and a peacock. We focus mainly on farm animals that are disabled or have been neglected or abused.

Ellie Meets Lil’ T 🩷🐐🦃
Our sweet three-legged house goat, Ellie, met little Lil’ T for the very first time today… and my heart absolutely melted. 🥹❤️
Ellie has always had the gentlest soul, and she welcomed this tiny turkey with so much curiosity and kindness. Watching these two meet was one of those moments that reminds us why we do what we do.
Animals have such a beautiful way of accepting one another exactly as they are. Different species, different stories, but the same gentle hearts. 💕
The alpacas love the sprinklers on hot days. They always stand over the sprinkler and wash their undercarriages.
But today… they decided to add a little extra entertainment. Apparently they’ve discovered twerking! 🤣💃
Who knew alpacas had dance moves? Around here, even staying cool comes with a comedy show! ❤️🦙💦

Love at First Sight 😍
Pepper came to us from a heartbreaking backyard breeding situation, and of all our dogs, she has been our biggest challenge. But eventually, Pepper found her purpose… with the chickens. ❤️
She absolutely adores “her” flock and spends every day and night protecting them.
Well… it was love at first sight when she met Lil’ T. 🦃❤️🐶
I just didn’t have the heart to tell Pepper that she won’t be guarding Lil’ T with the chickens. Even though they’re both birds, turkeys and chickens should never be housed together. Chickens can carry a parasite that causes blackhead disease, a potentially fatal illness for turkeys.
When Lil’ T is old enough, they’ll move in with our resident turkeys, Big Red and Eleanor. Until then, Pepper is soaking up every precious minute with her tiny feathered friend… and I am too. She has been such a joy to love and care for.
