"My name is Gretchen Fackler. I am excited to join The Learning Center with 25 years of teaching experience, including classroom instruction, serving as a reading and math interventionist, and working as an instructional coach. I received my teaching degree from UNI, though my family cheers for the Iowa Hawkeyes any chance we get! When I'm not teaching 3rd graders, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two sons, and two very high maintenance dogs. Helping children build their confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching, and I look forward to inspiring that growth this summer! I feel very fortunate to be able to be involved in this amazing opportunity!"

"I have taught for 25 years. Covering grades 1 through 4. I got my undergrad degree from Iowa State and my masters from UNI. I enjoy building relationships with young learners and using that relationship to help them succeed academically. Away from school I love spending time with my wife and 2 children, cheering on the Cyclones and watching sports both in person and on television."

"My name is Leslie Perrigo. I come to The Learning Center with 20 years of experience teaching in Waukee, Grimes, and West Des Moines. I have had the pleasure to serve students and families both as a classroom teacher and an instructional coach. I graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with endorsements in K-8 Reading and K-8 Mathematics. My love for learning brought me back to the classroom to earn a Masters of Arts in Education and K-12 Reading Specialist endorsement. As an educator, I believe in supporting each learner’s head and heart as they grow in academic, social, and learning skills. I value curiosity, comprehension, productive struggle, and the journey that deep learning involves."
