FAQ: I have a new barrel that says it takes both 2 ¾” and 3” shells, does this mean my 2 ¾” receiver can now use 3” shells as well?

Answer: No. The size of the receiver determines the size of the shell. While you can safely fire a 2 ¾” shell in a 3” chamber, a 2 ¾” receiver is not large enough to eject the 3” shell after firing.
