On May 3, 2022 Upper Arlington residents will be asked to vote on a 2-mill renewal and 1-mill levy increase to ensure our award-winning libraries can continue to function as a pillar of our community. Local funding makes up more than half of the Library’s budget, so we must vote FOR the levy or else the Library will lose 53% of its funding when the current levy expires this fall.

We are excited to announce that UA residents have overwhelmingly voted to pass the Library Levy! We know that the Library is part of what makes UA great, and we are happy to know that UA believes so as well.
A huge thank you to the campaign and finance committees, as well as all the volunteers who dedicated their time and efforts to spread the message!
This win allows the Library to maintain its hours and services, retain its highly trained and dedicated staff, fix and improve the buildings that are in need of critical maintenance, and expand outreach services. We hope to see you around the Library soon!

𝟱𝟯% 𝗼𝗻 𝟱/𝟯 – let’s read up on the facts:
If the levy does not pass on May 3rd, the Library will lose 53% of its funding.
Yes, we’re serious. This levy is to replace the current operating levy, which has been in effect since 2007 and will expire this year. This loss would result is drastic cuts to hours, materials, and programming.
Share this with your neighbors and make sure they head to the polls on Tuesday to vote FOR the UA Library levy!
