As you celebrate the holiday weekend, we encourage you not to just step outside and watch for fireflies, but take steps to help protect them. By turning off your outdoor lights at night and avoiding pesticide use, you're helping protect fireflies and their natural habitats for seasons to come. Small steps have big actions!

Hip, hip, hooray, it's World Porcupine Day!

Today we celebrate all porcupines, but especially Prehensile-Tailed Porcupines like our very own Peter Quill.

Prehensile-Tailed Porcupines are arboreal species, which means that they depend heavily on trees. By recycling, we can support the Prehensile-Tailed Porcupines' native habitat, the Brazilian rainforest, which are commonly harvested for paper products. Additionally, avoiding products like palm oil and coffee produced by large scale production helps to alleviate habitat fragmentation.
