I’m looking for input from anyone experienced with installing wood floors. Is it standard practice to staple through the top (face) of finished wood flooring? I understand this might be done along the edges, but I’m seeing it through the middle of the floor as well.

Also, if these holes are filled with wood putty, does that affect the integrity or longevity of the floor?

Hey local friends—just a heads up. Sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning, someone entered into our red barn on US 42 in Union, Ky and stole two four-wheelers: a green and black Suzuki King Quad and a red Honda.

I’m working on getting photos of the red Honda, but in the meantime, please keep an eye out. If you live along US 42 and have cameras, we’d really appreciate you checking for any trucks with trailers during that time frame.

We do have cameras on our house and will now be adding them to the barn as well. We’ve lived here for 12 years without ever having anything stolen, so our guard was down. We’ve always welcomed people to come visit the animals, which makes this even more disappointing.
