A chaplain visited a federal facility in Sacramento.
A student who had taken his shahadah a year earlier stopped him and spent 15 minutes showing him what he'd been learning through Tayba Foundation.
The chaplain happened to personally know Shaykh Rami and wrote to tell him what he found. This is what the work actually looks like. Share this.
Someone asked him to get involved.
A year ago he would have. He said no and walked back to his cell to sit with what that cost him. That is not a small thing. That is the deen working in a person before anyone else can see it.

The Prophet ﷺ designated Muharram as the best month for voluntary fasting after Ramadan.
For students who have learned this through Tayba Foundation's curriculum, this month is not just a date, it is a practice happening in cells right now, with no acknowledgment from the institution and no one facilitating it.
