Per Longview head football coach and AD John King, Longview’s game against West Mesquite has been moved from Friday to Thursday. Kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Lobo Stadium.

Final from Tyler: Longview 42, Tyler 3. Lobos (9-0, 6-0) clinch the District 7-5A DI title and earn a first-round home playoff game. Will host West Mesquite next Friday to close out the regular season.

Per David Smoak, Kilgore High school graduate Dennis Alexander will be inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame on May 6, 2023.

Alexander was also inducted into the THSCA Hall of Honor this past summer.

He carved out a 340-140-11 record in 45 seasons at Hughes Springs, Daingerfield, Henderson, Harleton and Troup and led Daingerfield to a pair of stste tirles.
