In addition to the strategy aimed directly at business prospects, the TEDC maintains an automated database on community information, sites and buildings, office space, labor force, utility rates, transportation, and other key factors required to promote the area. Community Links:

We wrapped up the 3rd Annual TEDC Intercity Visit presented by Southside Bank this week in Greenville, SC—and it delivered.
Sixty community leaders came together to study what’s working in one of the most dynamic mid-sized markets in the country. From transformational downtown development to cutting-edge advanced manufacturing, workforce alignment, and tourism strategy, Greenville showed what intentional, long-term investment looks like.
We visited the BMW Manufacturing facility to learn about world-class automotive production up close, experienced the energy of the Greenville Drive- a high A Minor League baseball club, and walked a revitalized downtown with Mayor Knox White—a leader who’s spent decades executing a clear vision.
A few takeaways:
• Great cities don’t happen by accident—they’re built with consistency and courage
• Public-private alignment isn’t optional—it’s the model
• Talent, quality of place, and industry growth all move together
The real work starts now—translating what we’ve learned into meaningful progress for Tyler.
