Have you been by Fair Park recently? You've probably noticed the new concrete parking lot going in near the baseball field.

This new parking area is being funded by a Texas Parks and Wildlife Grant which the City applied for in 2019. This grant is going to be in 2 phases. This first phase of the Texas Parks and Wildlife grant project is this new parking area and an entry way plaza to the high school baseball field “Big Green”. This new parking lot will have 50 new parking spaces, and a new decorative pedestrian entrance to the “Big Green”.

This new parking area and new pedestrian entrance to the baseball field is also being supported, in addition to grant funds, by the Doris Julian Charitable Trust, by the City of Pittsburg, Guaranty Bank & Trust and the Pittsburg Independent School District.
