🌟 Huge Shout-Out to Two of Our Amazing After School Program Students! 🌟

When school started this year, sisters Ms. Ella and Ms. Emma Prosper joined our after school program at Songahm Martial Arts Academy.
When I first met these two sweet girls, they were my little spitfires!

They were full of energy and always on the move. One day, after they were having trouble listening, I sat them down for a two-minute timeout so we could talk about one of the most important things we teach at Songahm Martial Arts Academy—Life Skills.

That month, we were focusing on the life skill of Discipline.
I explained to Ella and Emma what discipline means and gave them a special challenge: if they worked hard for one month and showed discipline, I would surprise them with a reward.

Little did I know, that one conversation would make such a huge difference.
From that day forward, they began to calm down, improve their listening skills, and work hard every single day. They completed their challenge and focused on cardio workouts during our after school program. Earlier this year, they were promoted into our Tigers class, where they began their martial arts training.

These girls have come such a long way during their time at Songahm. I continue to challenge them, and even at just 4 years old, Ella and Emma push themselves every day to become better—not only here at the dojo, but also at school and at home.

And today, we are proud to celebrate another major accomplishment...
🎓 Ella and Emma have officially graduated from Pre-K and are heading to Kindergarten! 🎓

We are so incredibly proud of both of you and all the challenges you have faced and overcome.

A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank you to all of the students who completed their belt testing before the school year ended.

I would also like to give a special thank you to all of our After School Program students who worked so hard and tested before heading into summer break.

Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have truly paid off. We are so proud of each and every one of you for showing confidence, self-discipline, and a never-give-up attitude.
As you enjoy your summer, continue to believe in yourselves and keep practicing the confidence and self-discipline you have learned.

We would love to see all of you continue your training by attending our summer classes and camps. Keep working hard, keep growing, and keep reaching for your goals!
