My oldest son started kindergarten today and it got me wondering where all the time had gone? The days really were long but the years oh so short. I held it together until we got him into his classroom and they began to cite the pledge of allegiance. He didn’t know it so it made him nervous and he began to cry and grabbed me not wanting me to leave. His teacher was so good at changing direction and off he went out of my arms to be a big kid!

Owning an Airbnb has been a fun experience but it has also come with one big downside. There is a large amount of care that it requires and the constant turnover that takes us away from our family time.

As you have noticed, we are taking steps back and reevaluating what we say yes to in our lives. We are moving toward a more balanced life and being present for our children and family. We want our children to be able to cherish all the little moments in their childhood.

We have decided to turn the Airbnb into a full time rental to provide us with more family time. We will no longer have to hire a sitter on the weekends so we can leave our kids to clean the Airbnb. We have enjoyed hosting many wonderful guests but it is time for this home’s next chapter and for our family to have more precious moments together 🥰
