October, my birth month and Breast Cancer awareness month. I had my Mammogram October 1st, while it was routine, the agony of waiting is real. When they say 3-5 days the result will show up on your portal or, you will get an letter for a re-do (nobody wants that letter) so today I checked my emails and portal at least a 100 times. Met my family to celebrate our oldest daughters birthday and I mentioned my concern. I noticed two friends having lunch and one of them wrote the amazing book I Hate the Color Pink which is a book about Susan Svoboda breast cancer journey. I thought it was a good sign and told her that. A few moments later I got the medical report and I'm clear for two more years. I am so glad but also feel a deep sense of sadness for those who have bad news! . Early detection is so important, get yours scheduled now!!
