Good Morning Facebook Family and Friends!

How many of us have had to deal with difficult people and difficult situations? I know I have and truth be told you have as well. It’s something when you’re already dealing with things but to have someone or something to come and disrupt your peace is another thing. But thank God, He equips us and instructs us in how to deal with those difficult people and situation without getting out of character.
We all know people whom we find “difficult” in one way or another, and we’re all called upon to deal with difficult people at some time or another. A difficult person may be one who is condescending, argumentative, belligerent, manipulative, selfish, or simply rude. Difficult people seem to know just how to “push one’s buttons” and stir up trouble. Dealing with difficult people becomes an exercise in patience, love, and grace.
Have you ever heard people say that “misery loves company”? Have you had people to dislike you for no reason? Well, I am a living witness to having to deal with difficulties where I was in the mist of retaliating, but I had to remember what the Father commanded me to do:
Ephesians 4:31-32
I let go of bitterness and malice, choosing kindness and forgiveness.
Proverbs 10:12
Love covers offenses, and I choose love over hatred.
Luke 6:37
I refrain from judging, and I choose forgiveness for my own freedom.
Proverbs 19:11
I embody wisdom by being slow to anger and overlooking offenses.
Colossians 3:13
I am patient and forgiving, just as the Lord forgave me, I also forgave others.
Psalms 33:11
I choose love over hate and show kindness to those who dislike me.

So, remember that dealing with difficult people is unavoidable. When we deal with difficult people, it’s easy to respond in the flesh. But that just brings out the worst in us. How much better to allow our dealings with difficult people to bring out the fruit of the Spirit in us!
By the grace of God, I pray we all learn to deal with difficult people in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and—to top it all off—self-control. I pray that we all extend the same love, grace, and mercy that God extended to us. And may we be careful not to become the “difficult people” ourselves!

Genuinely Loving You ALL!

Greetings,

On today I felt compelled to touch on the topic of behavior of a Christian. Many times, in our lives we have witnessed the behavior of a “Christian” that was totally the opposite of what God has instructed us to be. Even in our own lives we have done things, thought of things, and said things that did not line up with the standards that God has called us to. And to be honest we still do some of those things now.

Ask yourself, I am the same in front of the church gathering as I am at home? Do I speak of peace and love or of judgement and curses? Know that this is REVEALING Season and as brothers and sisters in the body of Christ we’ve got to get it right.

If you hear or see your brother or sister falling in sin or have fallen in sin (in which we ALL have been there a number of times) what do you do?
 Gossip about it?
 Become judgmental about it?
 Turn your back on them or the situation?

We need to be on our knees and seeking God’s face and pray for those who have come short of the standards and the glory of God.
As Christians, we are asked to live to a higher standard, because we are representatives of God on Earth. So striving to live a God-centered life is important, because when we exhibit Godly behavior, we are providing a good witness to those around us. This means that God wants us to be examples of Christ rather than living by the world's standards.

Before looking at someone else’s sin or behavior, take time to ask how your behavior and appearance is perceived by others. Everything a Christian does influences what people think of Christians and God. You are a representative of God, and your behavior is part of demonstrating your relationship with Him.

Too many badly behaved Christians have given non-Christian's reason to think believers are hypocrites. Still, does this mean you will be perfect? No. We all make mistakes and sin. However, it is important to keep striving to walk in Jesus' footsteps as best we can. And when we do something wrong? We need to take responsibility/ accountability and show the world how God is the best and most reliable forgiver.

Matthew 5:16 - "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." (NIV)
1 Peter 2:12 - "Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us." (NIV)
Galatians 6:1 - Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
