How long does it really take to grow out your natural hair color? We first started out with cutting her hair 10/20/20 as short as she was comfortable going. Second, we used a Demi-permanent hair color to muffle out her outgrowth. What did we do next you ask? We sit and wait for it to grow out and give another good cut. Nine months later, there you have it!

There’s other ways to grow out your hair but this was the best way without spending hours in the chair. Most grey hair with artificial color cannot stand the process. You might just end up giving yourself a chemical haircut! Most clients think you can apply a grey color on top and be done. Some hair can withstand the process but most likely you will be paying a stylist a whole day’s worth of work! That’s how long it takes.
