Trenchless Equipment (TE) enjoys meeting its customers on job sites. First, it helps us understand the kind of jobs and obstacles our clients run into. Second, it gives us ideas how manufacture tools for the field. This project not only gave TE the chance to meet the contractor but also meet the apartment tenant. The tenant gave an animated description about the problem with the clogged sewer line. Upon closer inspection, you can also see the roof has been damaged on the apartment building. The pipe burst job was an emergency job that needed to be completed ASAP.
Some of the obstacles the contractor had to deal with on this project were a flooded pipe burst equipment pit. He decided to drain this into a nearby manhole. The street has a lot of traffic most of the day. The pipe burst job was a short 30' job. Since the holes had already been prepared this project was completed by the end of the day.

Trenchless Equipment worked with another client using its pipe bursting equipment in Sacramento, CA. The rain on the job was a welcome addition. The pipe replacement job was a 73 foot installation of HDPE pipe navigating a 60 degree bend in the line. The host pipe was a mixture of cast iron, orangeburg, cast iron and pvc pipe. The line crossed into the neighbors back yard going beneath a 5'5" brick wall. The entry was a close hole entry needing to avoid a crossing 2" water line in the entry pit. One of the technicians needed to pony ride the pipe against the outside wall to make sure the 180 degree loop stayed upriight in order to avoid the water line. Next to the equipment pit was a backyard manhole. All-in-all the job went pretty smooth.
