NMLETC Tupelo

NMLETC Class B-82 started week 8 this morning by taking their 8-week PT test. All cadets continue to improve as they move into the final stretch toward graduation.

Over the last few weeks, the class completed Patrol Concepts taught by the Desoto County Sheriff’s Office. We are always appreciative of their support and instruction. B-82 also completed the Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC), with every cadet successfully passing.

The class also received great instruction from Tupelo CID in crime scene processing, fingerprinting, and photography. We are grateful to have such a dedicated and knowledgeable group of detectives at Tupelo PD who continue to give their time to help instruct at NMLETC.

Lastly, the cadets spent time with the Tupelo SWAT Team and began learning entry techniques for various incident types. NMLETC instructors also spoke with the cadets about mental health as a first responder, what to expect after traumatic incidents, and the resources available during their careers.

This week will continue with fi****ms training and our annual Blue Run this Friday morning.
