At Precision Pain Management one of our goals is to minimize abuse of any medications, especially the combination of benzodiazepines and opiates. This combo has long been an issue, but recently been released in the guidelines with the CDC, which we follow. The CDC released "in about half of overdose deaths caused by opioid drugs, including Vicodin and oxycodone, another type of drug acted as a contributing factor. Benzodiazepines like Va**um and Xanax were found most frequently, in about 17 percent of the cases, to contribute." Here at PPM we take medication very seriously and monitor all medications closely using all available tools, patient safety #1 priority to our clinic. If you have questions on how to become a new patient, please contact our front office at 918-857-PAIN (7246). Precision Pain Management
