Commissioner Kelly Dunkerley stopped by the 101st Street and Garnett Road project to check on construction as work continues on this major infrastructure improvement. Currently, crews are removing the existing asphalt as they prepare to raise the intersection.
Made possible by an $8+ million FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant, this project will raise the intersection by approximately five feet and help reduce the flooding that has impacted this area for years.
The intersection closure is expected to remain in place through the end of the year. Thank you for your patience as crews continue making progress on this important project.
