Everything Must Go is a two-day pop-up exhibition bringing together recent paintings and mixed-media works that reflect an ongoing exploration of memory, transformation, and the ways we are shaped by both nature and nurture.
The title borrows the language of impermanence. It suggests that nothing remains unchanged—that experiences, identities, relationships, and even our understanding of the past are constantly move, shift, and are rewritten.

Rather than documenting specific events, the work traces emotional landscapes where personal history intersects with the natural world. Across the exhibition, recurring forms and layered surfaces speak to growth, erosion, adaptation, and resilience. The paintings hold moments that feel both familiar and elusive, much like memory itself. Humor and uncertainty exist alongside tenderness, allowing multiple emotional truths to occupy the same space.

Rather than offering fixed narratives, Everything Must Go invites viewers to consider how we become who we are through inherited instincts, lived experience, and continual change. The exhibition is less about arrival than becoming—an acknowledgment that everything, whether beautiful or difficult, eventually transforms into something else.

Rochelle Hardman is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Working across painting and mixed media, her practice explores memory, transformation, and the relationship between nature and nurture. Through layered surfaces and intuitive processes, she creates work that reflects the fluid nature of experience and the ways personal histories continue to evolve. Her paintings invite slow looking, encouraging viewers to consider the quiet intersections of memory, environment, and change.
