The ‘Route 66 – Make Oklahoma Beautiful’ Project and the Oklahoma Native Plant Network (ONPN) are excited to begin a native planting project at Woodward Park, and we’re looking for plant enthusiasts to help bring it to life over the next two weeks!
We have two planting beds—each approximately 500 square feet—to install over two weekends, for a total of 1,000 square feet of beautiful native landscaping.
On June 20th, we will populate the first of these beds with approximately 460 plants. On planting day, the designers and plant suppliers will carefully place all plants in their designated locations, making it easy for volunteers to jump right in.
All that's left is the fun part: digging, planting, and helping these native plants settle into their new homes. Whether you're an experienced gardener or simply enjoy spending time outdoors and supporting local ecology, we'd love to have you join us.
Come get your hands in the soil, learn about native plants, and help create a lasting impact at Woodward Park!
