Tulsa Carrera Program

lps young people make healthy decisions and cultivate aspirations for a productive future. CAS-Carrera works with young people 11-12 years old and follows them through high school graduation and beyond. The program model is integrated within a public or charter school day working with succeeding grades each year until all grades, 6-12 are receiving the model. The approach also includes a summer program. In 2011, a unique partnership was forged between the Community Service Council (CSC), the Children’s Aid Society (CAS)-Carrera Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program, Union Public Schools (UPS) and the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF) to bring the “top-tier” evidence-based CAS-Carrera program to Tulsa. The implementation of the Tulsa Carrera Program is a concrete strategy toward the Union Public Schools articulated goal of 100% graduation, 100% college and career readiness.
