From &Talented and Tahlequah Public Schools :

7th & 8th Grade RISE students had an incredible opportunity today as they explored the world of architecture through Architecture in Motion, a STEM presentation led by Cassidy Felts and Kinsey Brien from KSQ Design’s Tulsa office.
This experience was especially meaningful as Cassidy is a former Tahlequah Public Schools gifted student who discovered her passion for architecture through the TPS Gifted Education mentorship program during her time at Tahlequah High School—what an inspiring full-circle moment!
During the session, students dove into:
🔹 The phases of architectural planning
🔹 Pathways to becoming an architect
🔹 Various careers in architecture
🔹 The process of going from designing to building
🔹 The difference between an architect and an architectural engineer
Students then put their learning into action with a hands-on “Build Your Own Tiny House” challenge! They:
✏️ Designed a floor plan including a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and living room
🏠 Created elevations with aligned windows and doors
🎨 Added creative design elements
📦 Constructed a 3D model by folding their plans into a cube
👀 Explored their design through a “section” view
The creativity, problem-solving, and engagement were outstanding! Experiences like this not only bring STEM learning to life, but also help students begin envisioning their own future pathways.

KSQ has been proud to partner with the Hendrick Hudson School District for over 10 years, modernizing facilities across all seven buildings.

One of our latest milestones: the Buchanan-Verplanck Elementary School Cafetorium Renovation. This project created a safe, accessible, and welcoming multi-purpose space for students—supporting dining, group activities, and school events all in one vibrant environment.

Thoughtful design meets everyday school life, and we’re thrilled to see this space come to life for the Hen Hud community!

We’re beyond excited and honored to announce that Cindy Maleike, from our KSQ Design New York office, has been selected as the 2025 Rising Star Award recipient by AIA Westchester + Hudson Valley!

Cindy is a Project Architect at KSQ who brings incredible attention to detail and a collaborative spirit to every project. With 15 years of experience in the industry, she’s not only talented but also an absolute pleasure to work with.
