Program Goals and Objectives
1 - Provide funding to projects that will benefit communities in need, where applying geophysical science an information is critical to improving poor conditions or where dangerous conditions and hazards can be mitigated or removed using applied geoscience technology.
2 - Strengthen the global geophysical community through beneficial multidisciplinary partners

This field trip — led by Brandee Carlson and Shuhab Kahn— offers a hands-on experience with the tech used to protect our coast from storms and land loss.
You'll help collect geophysical data on Matagorda Beach and see how we process it to understand sediment transport and groundwater quality.
