We are so incredibly proud of Karen. As a dedicated co-director of Tulsa Metro Sound for many years, she was officially recognized for this wonderful honor at the Region 25 Summer Music Camp this past weekend.

TMS has talent! We were represented by our very own Shaylan and Laura Lee in tonight’s big show!!! Both received standing ovations and lots of accolades! So proud of you both!!! 🎶🎶💕

Sometimes the best rehearsals aren’t just about singing, they’re about growing.

A huge thank you to our own Debbie Westmoreland Baker for leading rehearsal this week! With her background in music education, she shared practical techniques and memorable visuals that helped us become better singers and better barbershoppers.

Together we explored:
🎵 Barbershop fundamentals
🎵 Vocal production for a richer, more unified sound.
🎵 Why vibrato doesn’t create the signature barbershop ring, and techniques to sing with greater clarity.
🎵 Using breath and forward motion to create more expressive musical phrases.
🎵 A fun new vocal warm-up song to add to our toolbox!

While many of our members are away at summer music camp, this smaller group proved that great things happen when singers are committed to learning. We left rehearsal sounding stronger, singing smarter, and having a lot of fun along the way.
