This morning I was on the phone for almost five hours with two different insurance companies, two different attorneys and with my bank.

I was attempting to collect money from the insurance companies for costs incurred during the installation of a couple roofs that we had recently finished. The desk adjusters both tried to mitigate their company's losses by denying about every line item that was included with my final invoices., so I

It took a while, but because of the numerous photographs we'd used to document every phase of the jobs and our adherence to building code, they had to collectively pay us about 12k. I was a little aggravated but pleased with the outcome.

The other calls however, got me super pi**ed and totally uncentered. I ended up losing my temper and talked like an as***le and thus got nothing accomplished because of my anger.

I talked to my girlfriend afterwards and ranted for a minute, before she told me how much she loved me and had me do some breathing exercises with her. It actually made me much calmer and I was able to communicate more effectively and lo and behold actually got some things achieved.

Lesson learned...getting angry and losing my cool got me nowhere. It was a complete waste of time and energy. Just keep cool
