PUBLIC HEARING
ODEQ is hosting a public hearing on 3 different air quality permits for HF Sinclair. Permits do address emissions from wastewater, and as we all understand, contaminated groundwater doesn't pay attention to ODEQ permit departments or property boundaries.

Plan to attend the hearing or send a quick email to [email protected] at ODEQ re: HF Sinclair East: 2023-0758-TVR4, HF Sinclair West: 2023-0757-TVR3, Holly Energy Partners: 2018-0593-C (M-9).

Ask for benzene emissions windroses, wastewater emissions, and a worst case scenario risk management plan. Tell them that the refinery's desire to operate and emit doesn't carry more weight than our right to clean water, air, and land.

Join TAARA for HF Sinclair's River Pollution Update Meeting on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM, Chandler Park Community Center 6500 W 21st Street, Tulsa, OK 74107.

This meeting is hosted by HF Sinclair and is our opportunity to hold the refinery's operators accountable for contaminating the Arkansas River with chemical saturated groundwater!

This is a today problem and will be a future problem unless a precedent is set now for closure and accountability. Our communities - our children and grandchildren and their children - deserve better than to serve as catchments for pollution. The Arkansas River and the wildlife dependent upon the river deserve better as well. See you there!
