Good Day Maker

Celebrating a great week for Good Day Maker! Finished and delivered a base for a table and finalized our first custom bass and ukulele build.

I wanted to do a special inlay for the 12th fret marker, knowing my wife’s love of rocks, I chose a piece of red jasper. I shaped the stone into a rough trapezoid inlay. I excavated the cavity for the stone, epoxied it in, and flattened the stone until it was flush with the fretboard.

A multi-laminate neck adds strength and stability. For this build, we used walnut, maple, and purple heart with black veneers between each piece. This was then planed perfectly flat and ready for the next steps!
