LifeChurch Men hit the field with flair,
Down by ten, but we didn’t despair.
An upset was brewing, hearts full of fight,
Final score: 17 to 20 — what a night!

Our pastor took a hit, oh what a sight,
A ball whizzed by and gave him a fright.
He tumbled like a pro, rolled right in the dirt,
Who knew he’d add “somersault” to his shirt?

So chin up, team! Though we didn’t win,
With God on our side, we’ll always grin!
Next game we’ll swing harder, play with some glee,
Because laughter and faith always set us free!

Michael and Patricia Picone, based in Sacramento, California, are the founders of New Life International Ministries.

Mike is the vice president of the International Association of Ministries in the U.S. They have been active in Asia since 1990, focusing on church planting and leadership development in Nepal since 2001.

They also minister in Singapore and Malaysia. The Picones co-founded New Life Handicapped Ministries in Nepal and have established eighteen churches there.

Married since 1976, they have three grown daughters and several grandchildren.
