Did you ever notice than in Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians, he mentions the coming of Christ in virtually every chapter? In 1 Thess. 1:9, 10: (1) The Anticipation of His Coming. (2) 2:19, 20: The Compensation at His Coming (3) 3:12, 13: The Consolation of His Coming (4) 4:13-18: The Description of His Coming (5) 5:9, 23, 24: The Preservation Until His Coming. Paul was a genius in organizing his thoughts. Happy New Year, dear ones. We are one day closer to His coming!

Mark 14:61, 62: "But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
Skeptics have long pointed to this Scripture to try and prove that Jesus was a false prophet. Their reasoning is, if Jesus were really the Son of God and prophet He would have never made such a statement. After all, he told the High Priest, Caiaphas, that he would see the Son of man come in the clouds of Heaven, sitting on the right hand of power and it didn't happen. Therefore, Jesus must have been either delusional as to who he was or he was not telling the truth. But, let's examine the Scripture and the situation. First of all, nowhere in the text does Jesus say that this would happen in Caiphas's lifetime. He simply said, there is coming a time when he would see the Son of Man coming in power. The question is, when will that be? The answer, this will be fulfilled when Jesus Christ returns in the clouds of glory to set up His Kingdom on the earth. At that time will be the resurrection and the Judgment on the Nation of Israel (Matthew 25) when He will judge ALL the nations. In fact Revelation 1:7 intimates the same thing:
"Behold, He comes with clouds, and every EYE WILL SEE HIM; ALSO THEY WHO PIERCED HIM (ISRAEL), and all kindreds of the earth will mourn because of Him." This Scripture makes it unmistakably clear that Caiaphas, Annas, the Sanhedrin and all of those who condemned Him to death will see Him at His Second Coming, in the clouds of glory, because they will, though long dead, be resurrected to face the wrath of the Son of God (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10). Matthew 23:37-39 Jesus said, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
This was Jesus washing His hands of that generation and telling them that He would not be revealed to them again until His Second coming. Then the redeemed of Israel will bless Him!
The Word of God is truth and no skeptic can make it untrue by their misuse of Scripture or their attempt to try and find fault with it. What many do not understand is that the bedrock of our faith is not built on the Bible! This may surprise you but we have to remember that people believed in Jesus Christ long before there was a New Testament. Although what we now call the New Testament was being written it was not put together in book form until 388 a.d. For over 350 years men and women came to Christ and believed the truth of the Gospel before there was ever a Bible. Those who wrote the letters of the New Testament did not write down what they BELIEVED; they wrote down what they SAW. The foundation of our faith is not a BOOK but an EVENT-namely THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST. DID IT HAPPEN? The answer is a resounding yes! All those who were eye witnesses to His resurrection from the dead gave their lives for that fact. Every one must examine the evidence and from their testimonies and decide for themselves. But remember, eternity weighs in the balance. May God speak to your heart through His Word and may you find peace in Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sins which leads to eternal life.
