In observance of National Week of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR), we share this silver and coral necklace from ASM’s jewelry collection, a collaboration between Tucson Diné silversmith Alex Beeshligaii and his daughter, Denali (Diné/Swedish). Alex chose the silhouette of a Hopi maiden, a nod to his mother’s side of the family. Denali chose to add the red coral hand to the pendant after hearing a news story about a murdered Diné woman.
