Wednesday Topic: Helpful Technology đą
Tool/App: Broca AI Speech đŁď¸
Why it Helps:
⢠Broca listens to a conversation partner and suggests replies for the person with aphasia to choose from.
⢠Selected replies can be spoken aloud by the app, giving the user a stronger voice in the conversation.
⢠Works best on tablets or laptops (not phones yet).
⢠Helps reduce pressure and keeps communication flowing.
Try it This Week:
1. Go to the Broca AI website and try the free version or demo. Add basic info about your hobbies and city (DONâT give contact info or specific details about yourself)
2. Use on a tablet or laptop in horizontal (âlandscapeâ) mode.
3. During a chat, let the partner speak, and then let Broca offer replies to select from.
4. Notice which suggestions feel most helpful, and practice using them in daily conversations.
