❤️ This week’s Children’s Heart Gallery feature is Jason!

Jason is an amazing young man. When the weather permits, Jason enjoys playing basketball and football; he is also content playing his favorite video games on his cell phone. Jason prefers to be active but also likes anime and making music. Like most teens, Jason likes to connect with others and make friends. Jason has a curious mind and likes to learn new skills and facts at school.

Jason is sensitive and will share his feelings. He engages best with one on one and when engaged in activities. Jason will need at least one stay-at-home parent to give him attention and meet his needs. The family should be competent in parenting from a trauma perspective, provide boundaries, belonging, and unconditional care and commitment. Jason's family will also honor and integrate his existing birth family relationship.

❤️ This week’s Children’s Heart Gallery feature is Tauke!

Tauke is a caring, funny, and goofy young man who describes himself as smart, cool, and adventurous. He loves spending time outdoors, especially hiking, swimming, gardening, birdwatching, and being in the water. One of his biggest dreams is to climb a tall tree. Tauke also enjoys singing, dancing, and playing the guitar, and his favorite song is "Believer" by Imagine Dragons.

He enjoys watching Youtube, playing games on his tablet, and watching Disney+ and PBS Kids. His favorite movie is Boss Baby, and his favorite TV show is PJ Masks. He pretends to be Cat Boy all the time and will show you how fast he can run! He likes action figures and wants to be a Police Officer when he gets older. His favorite food is eggs with ranch. He loves adding ranch to everything! He is getting better at trying new foods as well!

He would do best with a family where he is the only child or significantly younger than the other youth in the home. Tauke says he wants older siblings so that they can help him and teach him things! A family that has experience parenting or fostering youth with trauma is ideal. A family that is patient, understanding, ready to work hard, and consistent would benefit him greatly. It is asked that the family can provide a very structured environment for him. Tauke is very loving, so a family that can make him feel loved and cared for is important.
